Anna Mercury is a writer, artist and community organizer based in the Cascadia bioregion. Her work focuses on healing at the intersections of spirituality, ecology, trauma studies, political economy, and sociology. She holds a BA in Political Science and a MSc in Political Sociology, if that’s relevant. She is the author of hundreds of essays, one (finished) novel (so far), and dozens of poems, stories and scripts of varying quality.
As a writer, she tries to open the door to a shift in thinking and consciousness through storytelling and social commentary. As an organizer, she works to bring that paradigm shift to life by forging tangible changes to economies, communities and society. Whether writing, organizing, designing tools, tending land or talking to people, she just likes trying to make the world a better and more conscious place.
This website is mostly focused on the writing part, though.
